Who has access to your information?

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: In order to deliver the services you require, we may disclose your personal information to one or more organisations outside of LEAP. Your personal information is only disclosed to these organisations in relation to us providing our services to you. LEAP takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.

Third Party Product Providers we work in association with: We work closely with various third party providers to bring you a range of quality and reliable products and services designed to meet the needs of legal practitioners and small law firms. When you enquire about or purchase one or more of these products, the relevant third party provider will use your details to provide you with information and carry out their obligations arising from any contracts you have entered into with them. In some cases, they will be acting as a data controller of your information and therefore we advise you to read their Privacy Policy. These third party providers will share your information with us which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Law Enforcement, Legal Process and Compliance

We may disclose Personal Data or other information if such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies.

We also reserve the right to disclose Personal Data or other information that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to:

In in providing our services to you, we may need to transfer your personal data to LEAP offices throughout the world, including the United States and Australia, and any third parties who provide services on our behalf, including in countries that do not provide the same level of protection for personal information as in the EEA. In any case, we will only transfer personal data to recipients that provide an adequate level of data protection or as permitted by applicable data protection laws.

LEAP can aggregate your non-personally identifiable information

By using the software, you agree that we can access, aggregate and use non - personally identifiable information we have collected from you. This data will in no way identify you or any other individual.

LEAP may use this aggregated non-personally identifiable information to:

  • Assist us to better understand how our customers are using the software,
  • Provide our customers with further information regarding the uses and benefits of the software; and
  • Otherwise to improve the software.

You may request access to your personal information

It is your responsibility to ensure that the personal information you provide to us is accurate, complete and up-to-date. You may request access or request that we update or correct any personal information we hold about you, by setting out your request in writing and sending it to us at quality@leap.co.uk.

We will process your request as soon as reasonably practicable, provided we are not otherwise prevented from doing so on legal grounds. If we are unable to meet your request, we will let you know why. For example, it may be necessary for us to deny your request if it would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy or affairs of other individuals, or if it is not reasonable and practicable for us to process your request in the manner you have requested.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as we require it for the purposes of providing you with the software. However, we may also be required to keep some of your personal information for specified periods of time, for example under certain laws relating to corporations, money laundering, and financial reporting legislation.

Analytics and anonymisation
